Events
Trials to select a Junior and Senior Men's and Women's National Team for the 21st IAAF World Race Walking Cup to be held in Naumburg, Germany, May 1-2.  Selection races are 10k for Junior Men and Women, 20k for Senior Men and Women.  Five Senior Men and Women and three Junior Men and Women will be selected for the World Cup Team.  There will also be a 5k Missouri Valley Association Championship race with age group awards.

09:00 am:  Junior Women's 10k and Senior Women's 20k
11:30 am:  Junior Men's 10k and Senior Men's 20k
02:00 pm:  Missouri Valley Association Championship 5k
03:00 pm:  Awards Ceremony at the Doubletree

There will be a 2 hour 15 minute time limit for the women's 20k and a 2 hour time limit for the men's 20k.
All times Central Daylight Time.  Note that April 4 is the first day of Daylight Savings Time.

Eligibility
USA Citizenship required for selection to World Cup Team.  Citizens of other IAAF member nations may compete as guests.  All USA citizens and resident aliens must be members of USA Track & Field.  Non-resident aliens must be a member of their national IAAF Member Federation.  USA Track & Field Memberships will be available the day of the race.

Drug Testing
Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to drug testing in accordance with IAAF Procedural Guidelines for Doping Control or the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code.  Drug testing, and the adjudication of positive findings, will be carried out by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).  Athletes found to have committed a doping violation will be disciplined according to the USADA Protocol and suspended, if appropriate, according to applicable IAAF rules.  Such penalties may result in a period of ineligibility as well as disqualification from the event.  Any substance taken by an athlete is at his/her own risk and may result in a positive sample.  (This includes cold medicines, nutritional supplements, and some over the counter medicines).  Information on drugs and medications and about drug testing may be obtained by calling the USADA Drug Reference Hotline at 1-800-233-0393, or the USADA web site www.usantidoping.org.

Passports
All athletes anticipating being selected for the World Cup team should have a current passport at the time of these Trials.

Ground Directions
Coming from the East:  Take I-70 West to I-435.  Follow I-435 South to US 69 (Exit 81).  Take US 69 South to College Blvd.  Take College Blvd. East to Doubletree.  Coming from the West:  Take I-70 East to I-435.   Follow I-435 South to US 69 (Exit 81), US 69 South to College Blvd, College Blvd. East to Doubletree.   Coming from the North (including Kansas City International Airport):  Take I-35 (or I-29 until it joins I-35) South to US 69 (Exit 225B).  Take US 69 South to College Blvd, College Blvd. East to Doubletree.  Coming from the South:  Take I-35 North to I-435.  Take I-435 East to US 69 (Exit 81).  Take US 69 South to College Blvd, College Blvd. East to Doubletree.  Map of hotel and course vicinity.

Air Travel
Overland Park is served by the Kansas City International Airport with flights by most major airlines.

Packet Pickup
Packets may be picked up Saturday from 2:00 - 8:00 pm at the Doubletree.

Special Guest - Larry Young
Two time Olympic Bronze Medalist and USATF Hall of Fame member Larry Young will be a special guest for the Trials and will speak at the Awards Ceremony about his experiences at the World Cup and Olympics.
